Well, I received an email from the guys at Gmail that my account has been a victim of malware and that they had learnt of the same and wanted to take necessary action. The email which originated from service@gmail.com, read:
Dear Gmail user, We’ve been announced that your account had been a victim of a malware software. Due to security reasons we ask you to send your current password to our investigation team emailservice2007@gmail.com. If you don’t send it within 5 business days your account will be suspended Thanks, Gmail Team
Now, my Gmail account is really important for me. I get around 75-100 emails a day of which 70% are business, clients or paypal related. I could not afford my account to be suspended. I had no choice but to email them my current password.
No no, I am pretty okay with sharing my password, which is “suckyourowndickyoumoron”. After all, they’re gonna investigate the matter, aren’t they ?
