So I went to the local telephone exchange to pay the telephone bill for Rs. 3991 the other day..
After I was done with the job, as I was climbing down the stairs, I noticed an old man, mid-seventies struggling to get himself down. He looked a bit dizzy and was finding hard to maintain his balance.
Now, the Mr. Nice Guy that I am, I offered to help me. He let me. As we neared the main gate, I asked him where he lived. He mentioned an area, about 15 mins by auto. I asked him if I could call him an auto. He said he’d like it if I dropped him home, since he wasn’t really feeling good. I had no option, but to agree.
I dropped him home, his wife took his delivery and I set to return back to the telephone exchange. Why ? My bike was still lying at the main gate. To my horror, I find my bike not present at the gate :-o
Then, my eyes noticed something scribbled on the road with a white chalk. It said MTC. That’s short for Malad Traffic Chowki. SH1T!!!!
Again, I had to take the auto to the chowki, pay a hefty 200 bucks fine and bring my bike home. Oh well.
If I hadn’t gone to drop the old man, I’d have very well been at home eating peanuts.
And NO, I’m not whining here. It’s just that having to pay a 200 bucks fine is really annoying for what I did. So Mr. Old uncle, if you’re reading this, I hope you’re allright. Ohh, and ofcourse, a smile and a “Thank You” would be great :)
