About the author

I’m Preshit ( pronounced as prey-sheet ), from Mumbai, India. I was born on the 12th of August, 1986 and have been born and brought up in Mumbai itself. I’m 6-internet-years old and this is where I spend most of my time. I’m pretty obsessed with Computer, Internet and electronic gadgets. Apart from authoring this blog, I also write for The Fifty Paise and IndiaGSM.

Academically, I’ve done my 3-year Diploma in computer engineering and now currently trying to do MCSE and CCNA so far. Apart from that, there’s a BSc.IT degree that I’m trying to get.

I love Apple products and am a proud owner of a Mac Mini, an iPhone and an iPod. My next purchase is definitely going to be a MacBook.

About the blog

I started this blog back in August 2006, when everyone was talking about blogs and everyone I knew wanted me to have one. Back then, I was a hugely popular member on some major forums. This blog was originally located at http://myblog.preshit.net and was called “Accha?” or “Accha Blog”. Eventually, the blog got itself its own domain name, http://www.acchablog.com , courtesy of Vysakh. It now finds home here, at http://preshit.net

The blog, ever since its birth, has been powered by WordPress, my favorite blogging platform. The blog has had a number of thems over the years, my favorite being the “Glued subtle” theme. Currently, the blog runs on WordPress 2.5 and a custom made theme by [xubz] and me.

I upload all my stuff via Transmit or Flow. I love and use Coda and TextMate.

The blog is hosted on hosting by ExperTrio Web Services. They provide great service and their customer support is what I especially like.

About my workspace

My primary computer currently is an Apple Mac Mini combined with a 19″ LCD monitor. When travelling, I carry an Apple iPhone with me. You can read more on the “My Gadgets” page.
