There was one thing living in my society that really fascinated me, everytime I looked at it. It has been living from the time I wasn’t even born and has lived all these years with it’s head held high.

All the children in the society have grown up playing under it’s shadow. Every child in the society has had a special liking for the tree.

We used to play with almost all the parts of the tree. There was that sweet little game called sword fight that we used to play with the flowers. The leaves were fun to put atop fans in the society’s office, so when switched on, they would be showered on everyone. The wood could be used for occasional bon fires. The tree provided excellent shadow to play box-cricket.

However, everything was snatched away from us yesterday. All that it left now, is this.

Good bye, oh great tree.

When I first began writing for this blog, it originally used to be at http://myblog.preshit.net . The blog has a nice theme with a nice header and there was this nice logo on it. “Accha?” with a weird smile. I even got a T-Shirt printed with the logo on it.

Now, I’ve changed various themes after that… and due to some reason, I let go off that logo.

It has been over a year now and I’m starting to feel like the name “acchablog.com” is not good anymore.

I may move the blog to a new, more interesting name.

I would really like to hear some suggestions about the same.

Thanks.

Barely two months after we renovated and overhauled our house, my mother now wants the kitchen to be changed to some Designer Kitchen concepts.

So far, our kitchen is pretty decent with trolleys, but these were made around 4-5 years back and have now started rattling. My mother spends most of the time in the kitchen in the evenings, preparing food and nashtaas for the folks in the house.

I will be frank, some part of me too would like to see a designer kitchen with a chimney :D.

If this goes through, the only room that’ll be without something fabulous will be mine.

Where’s the TataSky – A review [ Part Three ] you might be wondering, na ?

The thing is, I’ve been a lot busy lately with college and other work and not only this, but the renovations underway @ my home have been taking its toll on me. Anyhow, back to the topic.

Today is the 37th day of using TataSky. So far, I’ve had no “major” complaints against them. All the minor complaints that I’ve had, were addressed by their executives within 24 hours of each.

Here’s a summary of TataSky Services:

Thumb’s Up:

Excellent Program Guide

Very good remote

Excellent Picture and Sound quality

Excellent Customer Service and After-Sales

Thumb’s Down:

Active Channels – Not really useful. STB becomes unstable sometimes. The channels work as if still in Beta.

Rains :| – Signal goes dead if you get HEAVY rainfall. ( I emphasize on HEAVY rainfall )

Even though I wanted to write a detailed review, time constraints aren’t letting me. You’ll find other reviews on Google too. I hope this 3-part review has helped you in some-part.

Thanks :)

So here I am, with my Compaq laptop on my lap, wanting to write something for the blog. I’ve been pretty “Subbu-ish” lately, not writing much on the blog but rather boring you with the boring videos shot from my SONY handycam. But well, its not just that, but I’ve been genuinely busy/ill/hung up with things. Oh well… not any more ( I hope )

There’s this tutorial that I’ve decided to write for MTNL customers again, for those who want wi-fi in their houses. Then there was this Motorola ROKR Z6 review too, but I’ll pass on that.

Anyway, coming to the title of this entry, does any one of you talk in your sleep ?

Not necessarily “in” your sleep, but even when someone has just woken you up ? Do you mumble some words ?

Well, have a look at this video.

Here’s the story:
My cousin, Mr. Sandesh ( :P ) works at a major BPO firm where they have a mainframes which have names. Now, one of them had problems a day prior to this video was shot. Now, he was the one to notify everyone that the mainframe was finally up. He was telling everyone, “Vince is up” ( Vince being the name of the mainframe ). Now, here we have him, the NEXT day, just waking up and mumbling “Vince is up” ?

He himself took 2 hours to realize he was mumbling that.

Now, this isn’t the first instance of him mumbling. In the past, he recounts saying “Elephant aaya, elephant aaya” when his wife tries to wake him up ( =)) ).

Not only him, but I’ve seen several other people mumbling right when they get up. My grandfather has at times gotten up saying “Out.. out” ( :-?? )

Now, why exactly does this happen ? Are these the thoughts that stay in the head ? Are we, in our sleep, still living in the past ?

What are your views ?
