Back to Day-1

March 7, 2007

Keeping the promise made my Mr. Dayanidhi Maran, state-owned telecom operators MTNL and BSNL had upgraded the speeds of their respective broadband connections to 2Mbs starting 1st january, 2007. Either of the operator had made changes to all its plans.

Now, I was on MTNL’s night unlimited plan which was supposed to retain the 256Kbps mark :|. However, call it luck if you may, but even my speeds were upgraded to 2Mbps ( by mistake ) and I was enjoying blazing download speeds for these 2 months. In a night ( 12 – 8 ) I could download upto 7-8 GB of data.

However, here comes the sad news, my speed has again gone down to 256kbps again :(( I’ll miss those days..
