Hello, I’m Preshit (pronounced as prey-shith) and I’m an Internet Moron. Welcome to my weblog.

I’m 23 and have lived in Bombay, India all my life. Back in 2006, I started a web-hosting company called Expertrio Web Services. Today, I work as a freelance technical reviewer and consultant, while also running a company called iXyr Media, along with my friend Milind. iXyr Media powers two websites – Smoking Apples and Beautiful Pixels.

I have previously written for WATBlog, MobileIndustryReview, The Fifty Paise and IndiaGSM.

This weblog, from day one, has been powered by WordPress. I’ve contemplated moving to Tumblr on many occasions, but the reason I’ve stuck to WordPress is because I don’t want to turn this weblog into a reblog garden. The posts are composed in the web-interface itself MarsEdit. Stats are tracked using Mint.

Today, my primary computer is an Apple Unibody MacBook Pro that’s attached to a gorgeous 24″ Apple LED Cinema Display. Powered by a 2.4GHz processor and 2GB of RAM, it’s a fantastic machine for what I currently work on, but pretty soon, I’m going to have to switch to a Mac Pro. When on the move, I carry my first-gen iPhone and a 3rd-gen iPod touch with me.

The Mac platform, without a doubt, is home to some amazing applications and gorgeous UIs ever built. Apart from the default apps that come with Mac OS X, I use the following 3rd party apps in my workflow (most of which are from developer friends):
