CHIP? Or is it CHIb? Khalsa college gets it all wrong..

Before I begin, I just want to…… ….. .. .. .. =)) =)) :)) =))

CHIP logo
Now, I’ve been a member for CHIP-INDIA forums for many years now. I’ve seen all the drama that has happened there, but that’s a different story totally.

Now, Khalsa College is a well known college in Mumbai. They have a technical festival coming up called Spark IT ‘08. The posters for the same have been sent to and put up at all the colleges in Mumbai. The following is a picture of the same:

But wait…. :-o What’s that thing down there ? /:) That’s our very own logo of CHIP-India :)

But….. there’s something unusual about that, I can see.

Still don’t see what’s unusual about it ? NO ? Still no ?

Maybe this will give you a better idea…

Now, I totally understand that mistakes happen. They do. But messing up the logo of a prime sponsor for your event ? Doesn’t happen everyday does it ?

The posters have been put up in almost all the colleges in Mumbai. Heck, the logo of CHIP is such that its hard to make out. But still…

I’ve been trying to find out a way to contact the folks at the college…. if anyone knows, please let me know :)

Awesome! How did they manage to change the logo in the first place?

Must be an error at the printers end maybe ?

After days of research I finally found an answer to this!

    The word is NOT misspelled.

Yes it isn’t. In fact, look closely at the image, and you will notice that its upside-down from the actual logo. Zoom in more and clear things up and you will notice ALL things are misspelled. (As in, upside down)

So the image they’ve printed is simply a 180 degree rotated and horizontally flipped one. (Or simply, a bottom reflection virtual image).

But hey, its still CHIb and we’re back to square one.

You needed “days of research” to find that out ?
It was obvious, so I did not mention it :p
