Tragedy strikes
Bad news bad news :(
While MTNL has already been having problems with its connectivity, citing “server” issues, I received an SMS from Airtel and as if the earth slipped from under my feet.
Dear Customer, currently you are charged a daily rental of Rs. 7 for GPRS. Effective 27th Aug, 07, charges for GPRS are revised to Rs. 14.99 / day. Airtel GPRS is still the most economical option for internet access compared to DialUp, Cable etc.

“Airtel GPRS is still the most economical option for internet access compared to DialUp, Cable etc.”
=)) =))
this price hike has again brought me to a critical condition,
now i m thinking aging to get back the costly cablenet connection, cause even though it was costly but it provide a better speed,
& 14.99Rs for 40kbps connection is totally a sucking offer from airtel,
i just hope that they soon bring down the prices,
or the consumers will let down this GPRS service,
a thumbs down to this price hike,
it’s the time to boycott services . . .
I got a message stating that my free 100 SMS terminates Aug 22 and now on, every SMS costs 5p for any amount per day. And daily charges apply (Re. 1 a day).
Goddamn :(
Yes, I have already deactivated my service effective today.
Harsh, they’ve screwed EVERYONE over. Hutch, Aircel, Airtel… all of them. Fuckers.
All the operators have stopped free sms. supposedly its some new regulation or something.. well atleast I won’t get any stupid jokes or forwards on sms.
As for the GPRS hike, serves you guys right!! We people in Bangalore
LOL =)) =))
Well I knew the free SMS had to end one day or the day. Oh well not for me, Corporate CUG connection has its own benefits :D :P
well now the rates after hike are par with rajasthan circle which i was paying lately :P
