I got a HP laptop, but hey!! where’s the [”] key ?
No seriously..
That’s what one of my schoold friend called me up and asked.
Well, it was a boring evening as usual for me when, all of a sudden, my w800i buzzed to the tune of Airtel ( the tune i have kept for old friends ). It was her..
She tells me, she just took a brand new HP laptop.. I was like wow. Congrats…
Before I could ask her what configuration was the laptop… she fired the most difficult question of my life to me. I didn’t know how should I react..
Her: Preshit, can you tell me one thing ?
Me: Sure. What;s it ?
Her: Well, I was writing a program in Turbo C, and I was typing a printf statement… ( at this moment, i was sure it was gonna be a question I wudn’t be able to answer, but anyways ) and on this keyboard, I can see ther “close inverted commas” key but not the one for “open inverted commas“
Yeah.. Where’s the key to OPEN inverted commas..
Now, explaining to ya’ll how I could control myself from bursting out laughing in her face would be more difficult than how I explained her that both the keys are the same =))
Anyhow, it didn’t stop there.
She went on to tell me that even though she was typing the open inverted comma key, sshe still was seeing the close inverted commas :|
Yeah a few are indeed, but hey, I know boy newbs who use caps lock to make the first letter of a word capital too ;)
Man this is hillarious… but its wrong to laugh to about it… We wr not born computer geeks.. but still the quotes is a lil overboard he he… ;)

The poor thing ? Its not as if it was her 1st PC. Plus, she’s 21 you know. Even common sense would be too old by that age.
