Exams coming up…. 4 days to go..
Well,
Finally its the time… The time where tension, books, annoyance, papers all come together. Yea, its examination time. :( Something that I hate deep throughout.
I mean, I am not against examination. But rather, I hate THEORY examinations. Like, whats the use. I know about a dozen students who just rattofy each and every word from the book for the exam and score like 90-95%. One even got 100% marks in a non-math subject. Like, WOAH.
But that’s about it. That’s where their “academic excellence” ends. ZERO understanding and ZER0 Practical knowledge. Like say, they’ll by heart each and every word from a certain chapter, but ask them to explain it and they’ll go “Errr…… Ummm…. Aaaaa…..: ( X(Moth%&^& 5)(*&$#$ )
Whereas, there are others ( like me ) who instead understand the point rather than just blatantly studying whats printed. We practically try things out. Hands-on experience !!! And whats the value of this ??? Not much…
Yea, practical marks don’t matter THAT much as much as theory marks… WHY ?
Thus, the students who know nothing about a particular subject, come out with “flying colors”…..
What’s the use ? Are these really the “brains” that India needs for tomorrow ? Are these who will build India 2020 ?

Everytime before the exams, this exact thing comes to my mind. It seems life is not fair, especially for someone like me. I can understand the most complicated of microprocessor circuits.. but when it comes to remembering it and reproducing it in the exams, I am a complete loser. I just can’t mug up a single word!.. I repeated my first year in engineering and many of my seniors ask me for help in projects n stuff.
But then there is nothing we can do about it except slog like a dog, give it our best shot and hope for the best.. hopefully it will last only 2 more years for me! :-(
Ah well, if only India followed the education system present in the US and other countries. The emphasis there, is more on practical know how than theory. But hey, companies like Infy choose their employees based on factors other than marks alone. :)
Really ?
But even then, I need to “score” to even qualify for Infy na :(
